One of the best erotic romances I have read I just loved it I really will take the time soon to write adetailed review, but I wanted to make sure until then, those perusing knew what a great story this is.It is an extra full length novel at almost 70K words about Kyle from Comfort Object Remember Kyle, Jeremy s assistant who found Nell, and had the privelege of sharing Nell when Jeremy commanded Kyle the poor Texas boy who was infatuated with the girl he found for Jeremy Who took a One of the best erotic romances I have read I just loved it I really will take the time soon to write adetailed review, but I wanted to make sure until then, those perusing knew what a great story this is.It is an extra full length novel at almost 70K words about Kyle from Comfort Object Remember Kyle, Jeremy s assistant who found Nell, and had the privelege of sharing Nell when Jeremy commanded Kyle the poor Texas boy who was infatuated with the girl he found for Jeremy Who took a bullet for her That poor boy finally got his own tale And it is yummy This is defintely on my good first BDSM recommended book shelf There aren t any sex clubs in this story, or public displays or even sharing It isn t about humiliation or anything extreme This is a very private experience and frankly, Kyle never comes right out and uses the terms lifestyle or BDSM with Caressa The Dominance and submission aspect are just part of the way they express their love lust needs Caressa is a 20 year old mess who really needs some control in her life Kyle gives her that Kyle has this huge heart and protective instinct, God bless him Caressa was a child prodigy on the cello She s always lived in an adult world, but it is now as she approaches her 21st birthday and the completion of a tour that will define her career, that she is finally growing up and into her own To do that she has to face her own demons Kyle somehow always gets himself tangled in disfunctional relationships But Caressa is not Jeremy or Nell He s got clarity and inner strength he didn t have before, and he sees something amazing in Caressa, something that makes her endearing even as she pouts like a brat and struggles to define herself Not that I didn t want to smack him upsidethehead a couple of times If you read CO, you remember Jeremy throwing the books in the fire Well, Kyle can be just as much of an ass in my opinion And I still love him to death He has demons of his own and it takes concious effort each day to not slide down that slippery slope.Jeremy does make appearances in the book, as does Nell It is great to see how they are doing and how much the two of them have changed They arelike cameo appearances Goodness, that was rambly OK friends, pick this one up You will love it, I promise Only the most conservative of us will flinch Those who like the door to shut and the sex to be implied But, I am thinking most of my friends list is going to just adore this one It is a great story, with complex, rich, interesting characters, perfect pacing and serious chemistry

I ve been waiting for this one since I Comfort Object I deeply enjoyed that book, but it has nothing on this one I was prepared to love Kyle He was a supporting character in Comfort Object, but what I wasn t prepared for was seeing a character like Caressa in romance novel Difficult Unruly Hard to know and understand because she doesn t know herself, yet God, I understood that character I am that character sometimes Love and age have tempered me, but reading this book brought me close t I ve been waiting for this one since I Comfort Object I deeply enjoyed that book, but it has nothing on this one I was prepared to love Kyle He was a supporting character in Comfort Object, but what I wasn t prepared for was seeing a character like Caressa in romance novel Difficult Unruly Hard to know and understand because she doesn t know herself, yet God, I understood that character I am that character sometimes Love and age have tempered me, but reading this book brought me close that self I used to be I know I m ranting on about myself and not the book, but that s the beauty of this woman s work Annabel Joseph reaches deep inside and forces her characters and her readers to confront things they might not want to It s the first book that s made me cry in a long time and I believe it s because of the deeply personal reaction I had to it I think anyone who reads this book with an open heart can find a piece of themselves here I can t think of a better recommendation to give a book

I love how, at least in Annabel Joseph books, that everyone involved in the performing arts has a serious kink going on in private. This is Kyle s story Kyle s was Jeremy s PA from Comfort Object He found Nell for him, shared Nell with him, fell hard for her and ultimately took a bullet for her Nell, of course, is deeply in love with Jeremy and we start this story with Kyle on a downwards spiral of drink and drugs unable to get over his infatuation with Nell. After a brief stint in rehab, paid I love how, at least in Annabel Joseph books, that everyone involved in the performing arts has a serious kink going on in private. After a brief stint in rehab, paid for by Jeremy, Kyle takes a position as a PA to Caressa a precocious, talented young cellist She is a Diva with a capital D, her highly volatile personality having been shaped by tragedy, guilt and massive talent and all the expectations that go along with it She is totally f cked up and is a total bitch and a brat.Kyle soon recognises submissive tendencies in Caressa and he learns to control her moods and calm her with dominance For the entire story, Caressa threw major tantrums, would send Kyle away, take him back I have absolutely no idea what he saw in her and why he stuck it out but he does because he s deeply in love with her, as she is with him.So, I enjoyed this story just because I loved Kyle so much but I would much rather have seen him with Nell I didn t care for Caressa and her spoilt brat tendencies and the issues that dogged them as a couple throughout the story were never resolved and I can t understand how they went from warring to HEA but it is very romantic I guess Caressa found that she couldn t do without him Kyle is a caring and nurturing dom there s no sharing, no clubs, no humiliation and it s quite a different story from Comfort Object I had to laugh how Jeremy is now a wise old sage giving Kyle relationship advice Nice to see him and Nell and where they re at now.3 stars BDSM romance

This was my first book by Annabel Joseph As I was reading the synopsis, it called to me I was a music major in college, and I always love reading books that have a strong musical content This one did not disappoint I adore the way Caressa compared her relationship with Kyle in musical terms While that might be frustrating for someone who isn t familiar with the terms, it really worked for me The story is filled with both tender and frustrating moments I could sympathize with Caressa a This was my first book by Annabel Joseph As I was reading the synopsis, it called to me I was a music major in college, and I always love reading books that have a strong musical content This one did not disappoint I adore the way Caressa compared her relationship with Kyle in musical terms While that might be frustrating for someone who isn t familiar with the terms, it really worked for me The story is filled with both tender and frustrating moments I could sympathize with Caressa and the stress she felt before a concert I could also understand the frustration of her aunt and Kyle concerning Caressa s moods I can t say enough good things about this book I loved it from the beginning to the end The story had a very nice HEA and then it had an Epilogue If it is possible, the Epilogue made the HEA even better I only wish Annabel had called it a Coda, in keeping with the other musical terms used throughout the book

4.5 starsYou re like something running through my fingers, that I keep grabbing at This is the third book I ve read in this 4 book series So far, they ve all had a very different tone with characters that vary in personality and desires Odalisque was enjoyable because ofthan the kink, whereas Comfort Object was pretty kink driven This one, though There was BDSM, but it was probably the most vanilla in that there were no multiple partners or other public acts It wasemotio 4.5 starsYou re like something running through my fingers, that I keep grabbing at This is the third book I ve read in this 4 book series So far, they ve all had a very different tone with characters that vary in personality and desires Odalisque was enjoyable because ofthan the kink, whereas Comfort Object was pretty kink driven This one, though There was BDSM, but it was probably the most vanilla in that there were no multiple partners or other public acts It wasemotional, and I mean that in a good way Annabel Joseph is fast becoming a go to author for me, especially when I m in the mood for something different read kinky, lol He wanted connection, and he felt like connecting with her would be like weaving himself into a tapestry An incredibly involved and lengthy process, but one which might produce a masterpiece.I wasn t sure how I d feel about Kyle as a hero, because I viewed him as a tad pathetic in Object. Luckily, my opinion quickly changed because he changed, and that was believable simply because all he had to do was get sober Did he shift his obsessive tendencies to Caressa Yeah, maybe, but staying sober isn t about changing who you are, it s about channeling those behaviors into something that isn t destructive Plus, he seemed to always put Caressa first He adored her It s a testament to the author that their relationship was believable, considering he was both her personal assistant and dominant though he definitely isn t an intense Dom by any means Kyle ended up being a lotsensitive and emotional that I expected, but totally in a good way Really, I m so glad he got his own story He d wanted truth, and he d gotten it in all its raw glory She was desperate She was enslaved to a talent she couldn t control She was drowning and she didn t have a life vest. On the other hand, Caressa tooktime to warm up to At first she comes off as your typical spoiled, eccentric artist and that s not entirely untrue But she also has been through a lot, and has dealt with it in her own way not unlike Kyle She has also been incredibly sheltered, while living in a world that revolves around her So, it s hard to blame her for the way she acts, because she never knew any different I loved how Kyle was so in tune with her, that he knew exactly what she needed and when she needed it sexually and emotionally , because until he came along, everything in her life had always been about being a cellist So much so that she didn t really know who she was outside of that It was incredibly rewarding to watch her come into her own with him at her side, even if the road was bumpy at times He made her brave, and she was able to match his emotional intensity, which he craved even if he didn t realize it Finally, these two actually laughed and had a lot of fun together, which made me feel their connection It wasthan physical they shared a kinship that is beyond description As much as he fought it, he was a sucker for the wild ones As soon as he d climbed into the limo that first day, as soon as his eyes fell on her, he d felt an attraction he hadn t wanted to admit Not just a physical attraction, either He wanted to help her He wanted to protect her Okay, and fuck her.Honestly, this book is a very well written, semi kinky read There is a LOT of sex which, duh, it s Annabel Joseph but it is also very heartfelt and emotionally deep I would even recommend it as a good intro to BDSM story, because the scenes are intimate without being elaborate or physically intense Also, Caressa and Kyle are 100% monogamous I personally can get behind a swapping or sharing kink, but it wouldn t have worked in this story like at all Also the stories in this series do NOT have to be read in order So, if you re on the fence with this series, this is definitely a good one to start with There was a line of gold expanding at the edge of darkness that had threatened her so long Daybreak Or sunset.

Caressa s Knees is a tale of exquisite music and exorcising personal demons Nice character trajectories for both Caressa and Kyle make for a rich experience Both protagonists are battling back the darkness One is further along and dragging the other, but it is still a challenge Painful to watch at times, and though some will see it as weak or whiny I find that assessment shallow The torment is real, perhaps not expressed in ways some will understand or recognize, but still valid.
