Excellent Did not read like a translation Astute use of tiger metaphor to expose the dark side of the human soul Too bad though that the Sumatran tiger is almost extinct, perhaps partly related to the mystique it holds as portrayed in this novel.

There is a tiger within each of us The question is who will devour and get devoured You or the tiger An Indonesian novel, almost a religious novel for the obvious lesson it conveys set yourself free from fear by confessing your sins.

An incredibly difficult book for me to read due to the high vocabulary Indonesian words The novel revolves around 7 men Wak Katok, Pak Haji, Pak Balam, Sutan, Sanip, and Talib who earn their living in the forest In the novel, their worldly sins are exposed and they are forced to face internal and external struggles Each men had committed their own crimes sins, which consumes their thoughts and while in the forest they face a hungry tiger Ultimately, the novel has some important themes such An incredibly difficult book for me to read due to the high vocabulary Indonesian words The novel revolves around 7 men Wak Katok, Pak Haji, Pak Balam, Sutan, Sanip, and Talib who earn their living in the forest In the novel, their worldly sins are exposed and they are forced to face internal and external struggles Each men had committed their own crimes sins, which consumes their thoughts and while in the forest they face a hungry tiger Ultimately, the novel has some important themes such as, in order to overcome the world, one must overcome their own self sin, arrogance and etc

Harimau Harimau Is a truly astonishing book that blew my expectations out of the water This book has an archaic esque cover, which probably makes it unattractive to modern day readers teenagers , but to my surprise, the book has a very philosophical meaning to it that will make the reader get entranced into the story.Harimau Harimau has been seen as an effort to convince superstitious Indonesians that belief in God and self confidence can protect them, not mantras or talismans The book al Harimau Harimau Is a truly astonishing book that blew my expectations out of the water This book has an archaic esque cover, which probably makes it unattractive to modern day readers teenagers , but to my surprise, the book has a very philosophical meaning to it that will make the reader get entranced into the story.Harimau Harimau has been seen as an effort to convince superstitious Indonesians that belief in God and self confidence can protect them, not mantras or talismans The book also delves into philosophical themes such as fighting your inner demons, and solidarity. This book is a really good book for people searching for their purpose in life, which can be seen in Buyung This book can be used as an inspiration for leaders, which can be seen in the form of Wak Katok. One downside of this book is that the storytelling of this book is a little slow, and sometimes predictable and how this book is, at times, a little too explicit. One of the things I like most about this novel is how the novel cleverly uses the term tiger to express the darkness of the human soul There is a tiger in every one of us The question is who will survive You, or the tiger Overall, the book is very well written It really captures you into its universe The pages are filled with adrenaline pumping suspense The book also explores the many dark corners of the human mind and how easily blinded we are I enjoyed this book, although the book was a little slow and predictable at times It s overly explicit nature also makes it unsuitable for kids to read

What a journey This was amazingly descriptive and transported me into the jungle with the characters Thrilling, insightful, and thought provoking.I do wonder how it would read if it were women instead of men trapped in the jungle being hunted down by their worst sins.
