Rating 3.5I enjoyed this book quite a bit, I mean I did have to suspend a lot of belief that the heroine wouldn t freak and call the police when the hero showed up injured in her cottage but what the hell, I don t need to use my brains much when reading a book So, she takes care of him for days, nurses him to health and falls for him in a few days even when she knows he has a higher cause, but doesn t know what since he wants to protect her.A few days later he calls on her for help and tells he Rating 3.5I enjoyed this book quite a bit, I mean I did have to suspend a lot of belief that the heroine wouldn t freak and call the police when the hero showed up injured in her cottage but what the hell, I don t need to use my brains much when reading a book So, she takes care of him for days, nurses him to health and falls for him in a few days even when she knows he has a higher cause, but doesn t know what since he wants to protect her.A few days later he calls on her for help and tells her why He grew up poor but his illegitimate father sent him to America for education and he loved it and led the good life, taking a job but once he went back to his roots and saw the poverty and oppression there, joined the rebel cause and has been in that for eight years He is now their leader and needs her help to get out of the country.Surprisingly she agrees, growing up with wealthy dis interested parents she took refuge in academics and being with the hero is an adventure, even when she gets stuck in his country and in the rebel camp where people seem to distrust her and his ex lover throws dagger eyes at her.The hero is one of those principled people who doesn t want to take evenadvantage of her, he knows she is in love with him and he with her But when someone attacks her he can no longer maintain distance and gives in, but he decides to send her to safety even when it breaks his heart and she says she wants to stay. They meet six months later, when she is pregnant and things in his country have changed All in all an enjoyable read. The thing about this book that I liked was that the voice was really good and the heroine came across great and so did the hero who believed in his cause
